Bungie, the developers of the Destiny series, have officially announced that the new update will be the last one that owners of Xbox 360 and PS3 will be able to play. They say the next big installment of the Destiny franchise, Rise of Iron, will only be available for the next gen consoles, Xbox One and PS4. They have also revealed the last patch changelog, which will be available for the old consoles as well as the new gen ones, and the changes or fixes it will bring.
The changes Bungie talks about seem to be minor ones, but they say these changes are meant to make a smooth transition into Rise of Iron. These fixes include issues regarding damage, armor and powers or perks like Electrostatic Mind or Intellect. They have also fixed some Activities problems, like weekly Activities ending before they should or players being unable to get the Moments of Triumph book when they have a full Postamaster.
Bungie says that by ending support for the so called “legacy consoles”, they allow themselves much more freedom in terms of development and adding new features to future games.
Rise of Iron will be officially launched on the 20th of September, and as the developers announced, it will only be available for Xbox One and PS4 users.
