No matter if you liked WATCH_DOGS, disliked it or never even played it, you’re going to love the second installment, which will be released on the 15th of November on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Although it was a good game overall, a new genre (kind of) and sold very well, some people were a bit disappointed by the first WATCH_DOGS game. But that was probably because the expectations were huge. Looking online through a list of complaints of the community (players or real game critics), this is what we found : Bad A.I., unconvincing dialogue, spreading from Aiden Pearce, the main character, to most characters in the game, tons of bugs and glitches, the missions seemed quite repetitive and the car control was deemed awful.
Now, let’s be fair. These things are to expect when a studio makes a new game. You can’t prepare for all the bad things, let alone fix them until you officially release it and see the public reaction.
If you liked the idea of the game, you really shouldn’t worry about the WATCH_DOGS 2 gameplay, physics or graphics, because from what we’ve seen at E3, most of them, if not all problems, will be fixed by the time it comes out.
This time around, the game will take place around the bay area and the City of San Francisco. The open world will be immense and will include all the real major landmarks you can see in real life. You can also go to Oakland, Silicon Valley and Marin County. The new main character is named Marcus Holloway and, like his predecessor, he’s a hacker, only this time he is part of a hacker community, which goes by the name of Dedsec. He’s also an expert in parkour, and you will be able to dash through the scenery with awesome moves that will make you feel cool. We know that he was somehow wronged by the system, which made him turn somewhat antisocial and develop some kind of criminal mentality. His skills are varied, and you can hack into people’s bank accounts or control any car you see on the streets of San Francisco. This will be very helpful during difficult missions and will enable you to get out of tight spots. Of course, if you’re not into all that stealth mode gameplay, you can always go out O.K. Corral and complete a mission by shooting everybody. Co-op will be a big part of he game. You can find people on the street and simply ask them to join you in order to complete a mission, or use the Dedsec app to find your partner in crime.
