It’s kind of becoming a trend for game developers or publishers to announce the DLC content they’re planning to release even before the original version of the game launches, and Mafia 3 makes no exception from this new, unwritten rule.
Buyers of the game will receive new clothing for the main character, options for customizing the cars, and a pack of brand new weapons, just 30 days after the game will be launched on the 7th of October. Regarding vehicles, this first DLC will include new amazing paint jobs, fully customizable license plates and even a new racing series, which will have nothing to do with the game’s story.
Then, there will of course be premium DLC. The first pack, named “Faster, Baby” will focus on a crooked sheriff who oppresses civil rights activists in a town called New Boredeaux. This town really aims to be a kind of New Orleans, and the game will take place in the 60’s.
In the second DLC, called “Sign of The Times”, Mafia 3’s main character will engage in tracking down and taking care of the followers of a cult. This cult is known for bizarre rituals and brutal killings.
“Stones Unturned” which will be the third expansion of Mafia 3, will take you to Vietnam, where toy will be able to experience Lincoln’s shady endeavors in the war. Your character is said to team up with a member of the CIA to resolve a series of problems that originated somewhere in the Asian jungles.
If you buy the Mafia 3 deluxe edition, which will cost you $80, you will get full access to all the DLC content we’ve talked about, when it will be released. The season pass will be available for around 30 dollars. The expansion packs will also be sold separately, and 2K says the entire pack will be available for $40.
Mafia 3, one of the most anticipated games of the year, which was along time in the making, will be released on the 7th of October on PC and both consoles.
